ExpressMaintenance Release 8.1 adds many new and exciting features ExpressMaintenance.  It includes a new primary interface that is even easier to navigate.  Check out the latest improvements below.

Admin / Defaults / Performance Settings – Added an option to set a limit on the size of content in notes fields.
Admin / Defaults / Performance Settings – Added an option to set a limit on the size of content in picture fields.
Admin / Defaults / Company Defaults – New defaults section for defining default company terms and label for user fields 1-4.
Admin / Companies – User fields 1-4 now have user defined labels as setup under Admin / Defaults / Company Defaults.
Admin / Companies – New fields for Sales Tax Applies and Sales Tax Rate which defaults to values setup under Admin / Defaults / Purchase Order Defaults.

Parts – Added a small folder image on Notes tab to indicate if notes exists for the selected part.
Parts – Now includes a checkbox field to indicate if a part is subject to tax or not. This is inherited when the part is selected in the PO screen.
Parts Reordering – Altered to read the defaults to create purchase orders based on setting to base order quantity on minimum or maximum on hand.
Parts Reordering – Added option to enter * or -1 in Quantity Within Reorder to get all records regardless of reorder status.
Parts Reordering – Added options to search by part type and category.
Parts Receiving – Added code to warn if the invoice / vendor already exist to help prevent duplicate entry.

Purchase Orders – Added stamp fields for created time and user when a new PO is created.
Purchase Orders – Taxes are now computed based on setting in Admin / Companies from the selected vendor rather than same rate applying to every vendor.

Maintenance / Service Overview – Altered the Create Work Order window to allow sizing.
Work Orders / Parts Import Consumption – Added option to adjust parts inventory at time of import rather than waiting for work order completion.
Work Orders – Corrected issue of Jump To Parts in parts section opening a PO rather than jumping to the part record.
Work Orders – Adjusted so that on post of a work order, if the completed date precedes the scheduled date, the program warns and ask to proceed or cancel.
Work Orders – Adjusted so that on post of a work order, if a completed date is entered but the detail services are not marked as completed, the program prompts to mark them as completed.

General – Help buttons now connect directly to the help system located on our website rather than looking at a local .chm file.
Administration / Defaults – Added new section for Performance Settings to allow for performance improvements with large databases.  For clients with large databases consider switching to a Cursor Location of Server to improve overall performance of queries.  We recommend setting the Max Records to 3,000 or less for optimum performance as well.
Performance Settings – Added option to specify Max Records to apply to any query.

Admin / User Accounts / Options – New interface for applying user permissions, selection list and grid properties to other users including all users.  This is very handy for setting how lookup lists and grids will look and then applying to other users.
Purchase Orders – Added a Sub-Description field to detail section for non-parts type items and other information.
Purchase Orders – Adjusted tax calculation so that it is calculated on the total of taxable parts rather than each individual tax being calculated and then summed.  This resolves rounding differences in PO record vs. accounting systems.
Parts / Receiving – Added a Sub-Description field to detail section for additional item info.
Parts / Attachments – Add option to attach a folder and select files to run within folder.
Parts – Corrected issue of picture image not clearing when selecting Clear Image option.
Parts – Added Search Tags field for general searching and association (see User Defined tab).

Work Orders – Adjusted so that when Complete button is clicked, program warns if unit is set to status of Down and gives user opportunity to proceed or not.
Work Orders / Services – Added field to specify if service ‘Affects Calibration’.  If the service does Affect Calibration, it will update the Last and Next Calibration fields of the Unit when the service is completed provided the dates supercede what is already there.
Report Builder – Implemented new release of Report Builder in application.
